On Sunday, John Angerson photographed 17 year old Chris for us, at the Slaughterhouse Studios in Manchester. When his mum collapsed last year, Chris saved her life by giving her CPR; which is quite an amazing thing really, and a situation that many teenagers wouldn’t know how to deal with.
And for this reason, Chris is the face of the British Heart Foundation’s campaign to get life saving skills put on the national curriculum. At the moment it’s not compulsory to learn how to spot the signs of a heart attack, put someone in the recovery position, or even deal with severe bleeding; which is crazy.
The petition is already online here, and the print campaign will be launched next month.
